Well its official.

I am a gardener. Not a blogger. I think at this stage in the proceedings I have to admit that I do not have the makings of a blogger in me. I think it could be all those years of silence. Me being silent that is. Most gardeners are. It comes from being out in the middle of nowhere with your head stuck in a bush and nobody to talk to. Some gardeners make up for it with a fountain of conversation and an overwhelming need to communicate.

It is going to take a little practice. But, I am not giving up. I will be back. I hope that when I do come back next time I will have something to say.

I have just noticed that I have not added to my bog for a while, three months to be exact. It intended to add to this regularly but for some reason I either forget or when I remember I don't have time or I just don't feel like it.

Yeah I am a lousy blogger. I find it much easier to write articles, so I have decided to try to take an article-writing approach to the blog.

I am planning to write regular articles commenting on whatever is on my mind at a given time. Hopefully that will get me blogging.

You may ask why I am doing a blog when I seem to be so lacking in enthusiasm. Well I am actually keen to blog, or at least i am keen on the idea, but I suppose I am having a little trouble bridging the gap between the idea and the reality.

I have started waffling. Time to stop and start writing an article-type blog. Hopefully you will see it here on your next visit.

Nothing but rain for the last weeks. Not much call for garden hoses now.

The cinemas are doing well though. I hear the Shrek 3 has grossed more than the first two in spite of being inferior. I have only seen the first one so I am no judge. But I have not heard anyone rave about it. The only reason it is doing so well it the weather is driving people into the movie theatres.

I suppose that you noticed that I don't blog very often. The grass has started growing in earnest at last. Yeah! So have the weeds. Well you can't have it every way. By the way a great way to get rid of Aphids, i.e. Greenfly, is to spray the Roses or whatever flower is affected, with a teaspoon of washing up liquid diluted in about a pint of water. Yes I do mean the liquid that you wash the dishes in.

Most flowers are unaffected by this and it gets rid of the bugs. You may need to spray again in a few days. It is more environmentally friendly than most of the chemicals being sold for this purpose these days. If you cannot easily get or use a sprayer use a small watering can.
